Maku — the artisans at work

Every piece still starts in a courtyard workshop in Patan and Bhaktapur, shaped by artisans whose families have kept the same craft for generations. Bowls are hammered from a seven-metal alloy; Thangkas painted in mineral pigment and 24-karat gold; pashmina hand-loomed from high-Himalayan cashmere. We simply present it plainly — clean lines, honest materials, the maker named on every label.

05In Their Words

Carried home with care

I tapped the bowl on the screen and knew the tone before it shipped. It arrived sounding exactly the same.

The clean look made it easy to picture the Thangka on my wall, and reading its story in Nepali sealed it.

Switching the pashmina to bone, live, helped me choose in seconds. Modern, simple, honest craft.

06Good to Know

Questions, answered

Are the singing bowls really tuned?

Yes — each bowl is hand-tuned by ear to a specific note. The tone you hear when you tap it in the studio is synthesised at the same base frequency as the real piece.

Is the Thangka hand-painted?

Every Thangka is painted by hand on cotton canvas with mineral pigments and 24-karat gold, then consecrated. No two are identical.

How do I pay and receive my order?

We accept eSewa, Khalti, bank transfer or cash. Delivery is insured across Nepal, typically within 5–7 days.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We handle customs paperwork for Thangka and craft exports and ship worldwide via courier.
